Remembrance

Forgetfulness is exile; remembrance is redemption           The Baal Shem Tov

I still remember the feeling I had when I read the first book that placed me on this path nearly 20 years ago. It was the most bizarre feeling. It was as if I already knew it. Friends came over the next day and asked me how I learned all this "stuff" overnight, and I cried. "I don't know! I just know it. It's like I'm remembering what I've always known but didn't know I knew and I didn't know I forgot. I just don't know!!" And I cried more.
Remembrance is something that's taught by many ancient philosophies.  Kabbalists teach that we must recall our transcendental selves because we lose our sense of Self & Purpose when we forget that we are divine beings having a physical experience and not the other way around.
Now, in my practice, I say I help people remember what they already know. When I ask people to tell me the answer, what's right for them, they say "I don't know". And I say, with all the confidence in the world, "Yes, you do!" No one else in this world knows what's best for you than YOU. We want desperately for someone to tell us what to do, what's right for us. There's a reason the Truth is written within: because then you will never forget it!

Remember who you really are. Remember you are divine, immortal Light, born from the stars.
Remember every day and don't ever forget!
