Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
A single drop of water often symbolizes the Atman, a Hindu concept for Self. This Self is transcendent to the lower self and exists even though we are unaware of It's doings. Brahman Atman is the "God-Self" or to know oneself as divine and connected to the Oneness of the universe. It is to know we are all drops in the ocean of eternal Life, part and whole at the same time.
Dharma, or purpose, is to act in accordance with this Oneness. It is to know our place within the body of the One is unique and important. We tend to minimize our gifts and talents because they come to us with such ease. This is because it is our natural way; what we were born to be. We tend to see ourselves as nothing special, just another drop in the ocean while still believing we are alone, separate, from others and all that is. How can this be so? Tell me you're special or tell me you're not but don't tell me both!
